You’ve heard of charitable events like  Macy’s Shop For a Cause event.  

Nicole Plesec (@NPlesec) introduced me to This organization makes shopping and giving possible all year long.

Their subtitle says it all:  Shop With a Purpose.

A percentage of purchases from the listed retailers go to charity of your choice. Or your recipient’s choice.  Any non-profit, school or association.

The percentages vary by merchant.  See percentages below for the retailers listed in this article.Percentages don’t apply to gift card redemption or gift wrapping for most, if not all, merchants. doesn’t expect these donations will replace your normal giving or to have that great of impact individually.  However, every little bit helps. When you multiply that little bit by hundreds or thousands, then it makes a difference.  Plus, it takes little effort to make the donation and on something you need/want anyway!

We-care features a cause of the month (Diabetes for April). However, you can choose the cause dearest to Mom’s heart as recipient of the donation. So, it’s really two gifts in one! Make that three since Mom will see the donation as a gift to her as well.
